I've done it. I decided to take the plunge into blog land! It's something that I kept meaning to do, but just never got around to doing. You know, life happens, right? Well life did happen to me, I got married, got divorced, had a amazing little boy, and then found out that I wasn't going to have a teaching job any longer. Well, that sealed the deal, I needed to do something and take charge of my life so I decided to start my own little company called JUNK. Inspired. Inspired, that's what I was as I was looking through all of the blogs and facebook pages that are out there. Inspired by all of the amazing women who I have met already and seem to be able to do it all!
I have always, and I mean always LOVED to "decorate" and I tend to horde collect things that I might just need one day to do this with. Much to the other half's dismay! You should see my basement (no wait on the other hand you probably don't want to!) Even in college, I started collecting magazines to design my dorm room, heck my roommate and I bought coordinating bedspreads lol :) Then I decided to move to a house! Part of my rent was knocked off each month because I did hard labor projects making it so much better, like painting all of the kitchen cabinets and putting in new flooring. You should have seen my bedroom, two shades of blue mottled together with that really old school dual roller, oh the memories.....
I guess that it shouldn't have come as a surprise when I bought a money pit fixer upper as my first home with I was just 22. I still live in that house and it still is ever evolving. It's a cute little bungalow right by a school and city park on a one way street, I really do love her, even though she gives me fits! She started out pepto bismal pink top to bottom and slowly I have been transforming her into a home, little by little, piece by piece, with hand-me-downs and antiques and anything else that I see that seems to "fit". One day I will get a farmhouse, with lots of land and a barn, but for now, my little bungalow in the city will work just fine.
I never actually thought that I would make this plunge and turn all of the
